Survey – This is a cross-sectional
survey research design as the RO is to determine the level of IKM Bintulu
rural students’ English Language proficiency. Thus, the main concern here is
to get the students’ English Language proficiency where the data is collected
at just one point of time.
Research Instruments

Data Analysis
The Test data will be analysed by using Percentage analysis while
the Interview will analyse Content analysis.

To identify the problems which lead to the
lower proficiency of the IKM Bintulu rural students

What are the causes of low English Language proficiency
among IKM Bintulu rural students?

Survey – As this RO is to
identify the problems which lead to the lower proficiency of the students, this
is again a cross-sectional survey research design because the RO is only
collecting data on students’ problems of low English language proficiency
which is also to be collected at one point of time.

Descriptive statistics will be
used as the information to be collected will be in many scores and will be
described with a few indices which are mean and standard deviation. The
findings from questionnaires will definitely be clarified through a narrative
description of some sort.

implemented in improving English Language proficiency among IKM Bintulu rural
students.

What are the ways that can be implemented to improve the
English Language proficiency among IKM Bintulu rural students?

Survey – In order to achieve the
most suitable approach to improve English Language proficiency (RO), the main
way to collect information is through asking questions. The answer to these
questions by the samples will constitute the data of the study. Thus, it is
believed that a Cross-Sectional Survey is again appropriate to be used for
collecting the data.
